Liturgy and Sacraments

Faith formation is ever-present in the activities and environment of OGJH. School Masses are held weekly, and student planning and participation are an integral part of the liturgies. Christian and community service are emphasized during the liturgical seasons. Teaching youth outreach is an important element of their religious foundation. All staff and areas of the curriculum support the mission of building a community of faith.

School Mass

O'Gorman Junior High celebrates weekly school Mass on Wednesdays at 1:15 p.m. in the gymnasium when school is in session. Parents and visitors are invited to join our celebration and are always welcome.

O’Gorman Junior High offers the Sacrament of Reconciliation to each of our Catholic students during the school day during the seasons of Advent and Lent. We are blessed to have priests from many of the Sioux Falls parishes come to provide this sacrament to our students.

Adoration takes place in the Msgr. McEneaney Chapel during the last week of every month during Lunch Study Halls.

"First Friday" Mass

"First Friday" Mass is held on the first Friday of every month school is in session. Students, parents, and staff are all invited to celebrate mass. "First Friday" Mass is held at 7:30 a.m. in the Msgr, McEneaney Chapel.
