We are excited to welcome speaker Cory Greenwood to OGJH on the morning of Thursday, January 19. Cory's story of perseverance and resilience empowers students to take responsibility for solutions instead of simply focusing on the problem.

Monday, January 23: 8th Grade Visit to OGHS/7th Grade Junior Achievement
On the afternoon of Monday, January 23, 8th grade students will be visiting O'Gorman High School and 7th grade students will be participating in Junior Achievement. (All classes will occur prior to the visit and Junior Achievement.)

Friday, February 3: All-Schools Mass
January 29 through February 4 is National Catholic Schools Week. The All-Schools Mass takes place on Friday, February 3, at the Augustana University Elmen Center at 10:00 a.m. Upon completion of the Mass, students will return to OGJH where they will be dismissed upon arrival (around noon). While we strongly encourage all of our OGJH students to ride the bus to and from the event, we understand that there may be special circumstances that dictate otherwise. If this is the case for your child, please fill out the permission form and send it to school with your child by Wednesday, February 1. Click here to access the form.

O'Gorman Junior High School's Campus Visit Days
If you know someone who may be interested in learning more about the O’Gorman Campus, and would like to experience a day in the life of a Knight, please encourage them to attend one of O’Gorman Junior High School’s “Campus Visit Days”. They will be held on February 6, March 17 and April 28. The visiting student will be paired with a student they already know who attends O’Gorman Junior High School or they will be matched with a current student who shares similar interests. Their experience will include learning more about the O’Gorman Campus, attending classes, eating lunch, meeting the faculty, staff, and students of O’Gorman Junior High School!

Students are welcome to attend one of our “Campus Visit Days” if they are a current 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student and currently do not attend school in our school system (current students will have a class visit day scheduled in March). A parent/guardian of the student visiting must fill out the online form by clicking here. After we receive the online form, we will be in contact with them to outline the specifics of the day!

Incoming Parent Information Night
Incoming Parent Information Night will be held on Thursday, January 26, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.The event will be held in the O’Gorman Junior High School Gymnasium. This will be an opportunity for current Bishop O'Gorman 6th grade parents and other prospective parents to meet our OGJH staff, take a tour of our facility, and hear about the offerings and philosophies of our school. Students do not need to attend, but may come if you choose. Current Bishop O'Gorman Catholic School families do not need to register for this event. Any families that are not currently enrolled in Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools may register for this event here. This night is not intended for families whose child already attends OGJH.
